{"id":275,"date":"2015-02-18T09:33:11","date_gmt":"2015-02-18T14:33:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.christiancompositions.com\/blog\/?p=275"},"modified":"2015-02-18T09:33:11","modified_gmt":"2015-02-18T14:33:11","slug":"the-pastors-wife","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.christiancompositions.com\/blog\/the-pastors-wife\/","title":{"rendered":"The Pastor&#8217;s Wife"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.christiancompositions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/The-PastorsWife.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-276\" src=\"http:\/\/www.christiancompositions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/The-PastorsWife-200x300.png\" alt=\"The Pastor'sWife\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.christiancompositions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/The-PastorsWife-200x300.png 200w, https:\/\/www.christiancompositions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/The-PastorsWife-768x1152.png 768w, https:\/\/www.christiancompositions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/The-PastorsWife-683x1024.png 683w, https:\/\/www.christiancompositions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/The-PastorsWife.png 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>While sorting through a box of old music that was given to me, I came across this poem. \u00a0It has no author attributed, and I have tried in vain to find the original source; however, it was a great encouragement to me, so I would like to share it.<\/p>\n<p>I have been blessed with some wonderful women as my pastor&#8217;s wife, including my own mother. \u00a0I am thankful for their teaching and example.<\/p>\n<p>Now I have the privilege of being the wife of the pastor. \u00a0It is a unique role, and can carry a wide variety of responsibilities, but I seek to never forget that my foremost responsibility is simply to be my husband&#8217;s wife. \u00a0There are many other duties that can be delegated to others, but that one is mine alone. \u00a0I pray that I can be a worthy and faithful companion to him.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a pastor&#8217;s wife today, I pray that God will bless and encourage you as you hold up the hands of your spouse. \u00a0Guard your relationship with him. \u00a0Uplift him in prayer and in your speech. \u00a0Be his biggest supporter, and best friend. \u00a0Respect him. Encourage him.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a pastor&#8217;s wife, pray for her. \u00a0There are many battles you never see, many burdens she cannot share. \u00a0If you want to encourage her, love and support her husband.
